According to multiple reports, LigaMX are set to hold a press conference this upcoming Wednesday, where they will announce the All-Star Game for 2021, in a joint statement by LigaMX President Mikel Arriola and MLS Commissioner Don Garber.
Speculation surrounding the match would have this be a first step towards a future fusion between the two countries' football leagues, who already have two common competitions in the Leagues Cup and Campeones Cup. The game would be held in Bank of California Stadium, home of MLS side Los Angeles FC, sometime in July, right before the strart of the Mexican Apertura 2021. The match was previosuly canelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and will instead debut this year in its first edition, following the format of NBA, MLB and NFL All-Star Games.
