Real Salt Lake announced Monday that striker Douglas Martinez has been loaned to USL Championship side San Diego Loyal for the duration of the 2021 season.
So far this season, the 24-year-old has only played 50 minutes in six games. He's also a promising Honduran international, having made four appearances and scored once.
“This is a great opportunity for Douglas and we are looking forward to monitoring his progress with San Diego for the remainder of the season," Real Salt Lake technical director Kurt Schmid said in Monday's release.
