Real Salt Lake is halfway through its MLS season in 2021, and the team is already smashing preseason predictions.
After many predicted they would miss the playoffs and finish towards the bottom of the Western Conference standings, RSL striker Bobby Wood feels they have constructed a good foundation on which to become a formidable competitor.
"We have high potential," Wood said on this week's Extratime episode. "We have a great group of guys, the mentality, it's all there, everyone's fit, everyone's there mentally. We've got a hard-working team, everyone from top to bottom just wants to work hard. I think it's a process of just building that even more and more and as the season goes on hopefully we'll be able to build a step at a time. For me, I think we have a very strong team and I don't think we should be looked down on as much as a lot of people do maybe."
