On Saturday night, Dominique Badji came on in the 88th minute and scored only seconds later to give the Colorado Rapids a 1-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes.

On the counter-attack, Jonathan Lewis delivered a through ball to Nicolas Mezquida, who evaded a defender before tapping a pass to Badji in the middle of the area for a one-touch finish in the 89th minute after a turnover by San Jose in its offensive third.

The Earthquakes (6-8-8) saw an 11-game unbeaten streak broken, their longest since July-October 2005 when they went undefeated in a club-record 14 consecutive games.

Colorado Rapids (12-4-5) have gone undefeated in their past seven games, winning five of them.

Colorado has only won twice in its past ten MLS visits to San Jose, dating back to 2004.
