"?Reports in Spain suggest that newly promoted Middlesbrough could be interested in signing Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente, according to the "?Gazette Live.
The 31-year-old has failed to make much of an impression during his time at the club and Boro see this as an opportunity to bring the striker over to the Premier League for the first time in his career.
Spanish paper AS have said that the situation is calm as it stands and that things are looking positive for both sides. One of the only issues that could prove to be a stumbling block is that Llorente is on quite big wages, which begs the question of whether or not he would be willing to take a pay cut to join the north east side.
The rumoured departure of Monchi from the Europa League holders has also been seen as something that could delay the deal, however there's still plenty of time for this transfer to come to fruition.
Llorente has been a target for a range of clubs over the years, with Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal registering their interest in the Spaniard in the past.
This won't be the first time that the two sides have interacted with 2016 being the 10 year anniversary of Sevilla defeating Middlesbrough 4-0 in the UEFA Cup Final.
