Michael Essien could be heading to MLS side Orlando City

Ghana midfielder Michael Essien could be on his way to American Major League expansion side Orlando City.

The player’s agent Fabrizio Ferrari revealed on Tuesday that his client will evaluate the deal if an offer is made.

This is the second time in a week that the 32-year-old has been linked with a move to the rapidly growing Major League Soccer country.

He was initially linked with a move to Dallas FC but the club quickly denied any approach had been made.

Essien appears to be heading out the door at AC Milan when the current campaign comes to an end and rumors continue to run rampant as to where the Ghanaian international will end up next season.

The veteran’s agent has left the possibility for a move to Major League Soccer and Orlando wide open.

"No offer has been made that is satisfactory, for the moment, we seek interest for next season," Fabrizio Ferrari told Sky Sports Italia.

"Orlando? You never know. The MLS is a championship that is very interesting.

"When there are enquiries, they will be evaluated."

Orlando would certainly be a good fit for the player and considering the team still have one of their Designated Player spots available, they could use it to sign the 32-year-old.

Also, the fact that Essien has already played with the club’s superstar, Kaka in the past, makes the possibility of a move all the more likely.

However, it’ll be interesting to see which MLS side does secure Essien’s services if he decides to make the move across the pond.
