Medeama insist winger Theophilus Anoobah is still their bonafied property amid mounting reports he will sign for a new club abroad.

Media reports in the weeks have claimed the 23-year-old will travel to Algeria next week to undergo medical with giants USM Algiers.

The player is reported to be waiting for clearance from the Ghana FA before he embarks on the journey.

The Mauve and Yellows have been forced to state their position on the matter following growing reports about his imminent departure by insisting he will jeopardize his future if he signs for a new club.

Medeama would like to inform its supporters that Anoobah still remains the bonafied property of the club and cannot sign for any club without the express approval of the club,  a statement on the club’s official website read on Thursday.

“The club has therefore placed an indefinite suspension on him pending further action to be taken by the club.

“Fans should be rest assured that management are on top of the issue and will ensure both the player and the club gets what each party deserves”

Anoobah has gone AWOL since he lost the case against the club at the Ghana FA in November last year.
