Massimiliano Allegri Praises Juventus 'Respect' in 3-0 Win Over Pescara

"?Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri expressed his pleasure in his side's mentality as they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over Pescara in Serie A, and put pressure on title rivals Roma and Milan to produce the same manner of result.

The Turin side's goals were scored by Sami Khedira, Mario Mandzukic and Hernanes, and the defence was rarely troubled in the straightforward victory.

"The team showed humility and great respect for Pescara this evening." Allegri said to "?Sky Sport Italia

"It was not an easy game, because they were pressing high and were tactically organised. I thought Gonzalo Higuain had a great performance, as he sacrificed himself for the team and worked very hard."

"These three points are worth the same as three points against Napoli or the three points against Milan that we didn't get."

Hernanes had been struggling for goals in the weeks before the match, but scored an important goal for his own future.

"It's satisfying for Hernanes, as he is a fine professional, a good guy and always puts in a decent performance. He needs confidence, as do all players."

"Gigi Buffon just got back from international duty, Miralem Pjanic had a bruised foot and I preferred to rest him. I always say you win the title via games like this, bringing home important points. I am above all happy we kept a clean sheet."

Juventus, who play Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday, could be seven points clear at the top of Serie A if Roma and AC Milan both lose their game in hand. Allegri is not getting overexcited about the situation, though.

"Let's not talk about breaking away at the top, because Roma and Milan still need to play tomorrow."?
