Fulham have completed the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Manuel Angel, with the 22-year-old joining the London club on a contract running until the middle of 2029.
The agreement also includes an option for an automatic one-year extension, giving Fulham the possibility of retaining the Spanish midfielder beyond the initial length of his deal.
Fulham, known as the Cottagers, confirmed the transfer on their official website. The move takes Manuel Angel away from Madrid after a spell in which he made seven appearances for Real Madrid’s first team.
He also featured 85 times for the club’s second team, scoring three goals and recording three assists during those matches. His experience at reserve level represents the majority of his senior playing career to date, while his seven appearances for Real Madrid’s senior side came before his switch to England.
The transfer will also reunite Manuel Angel with Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa. The midfielder already knows the manager from their time working together in Madrid, a relationship that will provide continuity as he begins his career in English football.
For Fulham, the deal adds a young Spanish midfielder with experience inside the Real Madrid system. Manuel Angel’s contract security, which extends through to mid-2029 with the possibility of a further year, underlines the club’s commitment to the player over the long term.
His record for Real Madrid’s second team includes an equal number of goals and assists, with three in each category across 85 matches. Those appearances came alongside his opportunities with the first team, where he played seven times before leaving the Spanish club.
Manuel Angel now moves to London as part of Fulham’s squad and will continue his development under Arbeloa, who worked with him previously in Madrid. The pair’s existing professional connection is one of the notable features of the transfer.
