Manchester United are competing with Newcastle United to sign Fulham central defender Tosin Adarabioyo, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 26-year-old will become a free agent on 30 June after deciding not to extend his contract at Craven Cottage.
Newcastle manager, Eddie Howe has approved both Adarabioyo and Lloyd Kelly as new signings for Newcastle, he wants both.
Talks for the Manchester City youth product Adarabioyo is reported to be advancing.
However, BBC is of the opinion that Manchester United have not withdrawn their interest in the Englishman.
With financial constraints this summer due to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations, United are keen to bolster their defence without incurring a transfer fee.
Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and AC Milan are also rumoured to be interested in the former England youth international.
