Manchester United open new contract talks with Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United have begun negotiations with midfielder Bruno Fernandes over a new contract, according to respected journalist Dean Jones of FlashScore.

The Portugal international wants to remain at Old Trafford, but the financial terms of any new agreement could prove decisive. A number of clubs are expected to show interest in Fernandes in 2027 and could attempt to attract him with more lucrative offers.

Manchester United are nevertheless determined to persuade Fernandes that staying with the club represents the best option for him.

The 32-year-old has made seven appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
