Manchester City have responded after an independent commission found the club guilty of breaching financial rules, with the club saying it was “disappointed and surprised” by the conclusion.
The statement was issued by Manchester City’s press office following an announcement by the English Premier League (EPL) about the commission’s findings. The club published its response on its official website.
Manchester City said the EPL process was continuing and confirmed it would use all available avenues of appeal.
The club can challenge the independent commission’s conclusions until 2 October.
