Manchester United failed to win for the third consecutive game after a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

The result sees Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side remain ninth in the Premier League table, eight points adrift of the top four places.

The visitors opened the scoring in the first half through a wonderful Jack Grealish strike.

United equalised just before the break with an own goal from Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton after Marcus Rashford's header rebounded off him and into the net.

The hosts thought they completed the comeback when Victor Lindelof scored in the second half but Tyrone Mings grabbed an equaliser two minutes later.

United welcome Tottenham and former manager Jose Mourinho to Old Trafford in midweek, while Villa face an away game at Chelsea.
