Malaysia want to play Ghana in two-legged friendly

The Sports Ministry would be engaging the Ghana FA in the coming days to consider a proposal to play Malaysia in a friendly match.

Malaysia have offered to play the Black Stars in a two-legged friendly match in November.

The Black Stars honoured a similar invitation for a friendly match when they played Congo last week in the official opening of their newly built Kintele Stadium.

And the Sports Ministry is hoping to secure another agreement with the GFA to have the Black Stars play the friendly against Malaysia.

“It is true we have an invitation to play a friendly match with Malaysia,” Deputy Sports Minsiter Vincent Oppong Asamoah confirmed to Asempa FM.

“The friendly will be a two-legged one – meaning the Black Stars will travel to play in Malaysia and then again here in Ghana.

“But we are yet to hold discussions with the GFA to take a definitive decision on it.”
