Striker Mahatma Otoo believes he will eventually get his fair chance to impress Ghana coach Avram Grant following his return from injury.

The 23-year-old returned from a thigh injury to play for Sogndal in their 2-1 win over Honefoss over the weekend.

Otoo had been on the sidelines for the past three weeks with a strained thigh.

The injury saw him miss a unique opportunity for precious playtime with the Black Stars in last month’s friendlies against Senegal and Mali especially with regular Asamoah Gyan also missing through injury.

But the former Hearts of Oak captain believes he will get another chance once he returns to regular scoring form for his club.

“Yes, I am sure the chance will come again,” Otoo told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I just need to keep working hard and do my best to keep scoring goals.”

Otoo only played a few minutes of Ghana’s entire campaign at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations where the Black Stars finished second after losing on penalties in the finals to Cote d’Ivoire.
