Maduka Okoye undergoes successful surgery, Udinese confirm

Udinese Calcio have revealed that their goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye has undergone successful injury following the injury to the scapholunate ligament of his right wrist, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles goalkeeper has now underwent successful surgery today to repair a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist. The procedure was carried out by Dr. Loris Pegoli at the renowned La Madonnina clinic in Milan.

Okoye after the surgery revealed his appreciation to the medical team, "Big thanks to Dr. Pigoli and his team! Played the last 2 months with a broken ligament in my hand, for now I’ll be supporting the team from the stands, recover and work hard for a comeback in top form! See you soon!"

His return date is yet unknown but it's expected that the injury will not keep him out for long.
