Lukas Hradecky hails Victor Boniface's professionalism after failed Al-Nassr move

Bayer 04 Leverkusen captain, Lukas Hradecky has hailed Victor Boniface's professional after a failed move to Saudi Arabia as the Super Eagles striker was close to joining Al-Nassr but they instead went for Aston Villa's Jhon Duran despite the agreement with the German club for the player, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Boniface was then integrated back into the team, coming into the line up after a long term thigh injury. He was on the scoresheet as the defending Bundesliga champions recorded a dominant performance against TSG Hoffenheim to close the gap on league leaders Bayern Munich.

"It's remarkable how directly he came," the 35 year old Finnish goalkeeper stated in bid to clarify the dressing room situation after his failed move.

"That's the best medicine you can give the club and yourself. He has the respect of all of us.

"He was often injured. He hasn't earned that much money in his career. So, in part, probably economically. Yes, it was a lot of money".

Boniface has now turned his full attention on staying in Germany with the transfer window set to end today.
