Former footballer Evgeny Lovchev has described Arsen Zakharyan’s latest goals for Real Sociedad as a one-off, after the Russian midfielder scored twice in October.
Zakharyan found the net against Deportivo and Lillestrøm during the month, marking a productive spell for the 23-year-old central midfielder. Lovchev responded to the player’s recent form but played down the likelihood of it becoming a regular feature of his game.
Zakharyan joined Real Sociedad from Moscow club Dinamo Moscow in the summer of 2023. Since moving to the Spanish side, he has made 71 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
