League Management Company

Isaac Ayodele, one of the directors of League Management Company, LMC, that administers the Nigeria professional football league, has rated the just concluded Globacom Premier League high.

Ayodele told journalists in Lagos that the just concluded Nigeria Premier League recorded huge success, saying that in the next few years Nigerian league will attract millions of followers in the country.

“Honestly, I must say that the just concluded league recorded tremendous success in the area of officiating, spectatorship and organization. The LMC had done a great job by ensuring that the teams that violated the rules were punished accordingly.

“I am delighted to say that football fans are beginning to show interest in our league now because we have put some logistics in place that attract them to the match venues across the country.

“The plan next season is that the LMC will televise the league on the local television so that the league will get better and compete with other leagues in the world,” said Ayodele who is the founder of DIAFA Solar Energy Support and Ayodele Foundation and Academy.

Commenting on the DIAFA Solar Energy Support which has been introduced to Lagos State Football Association, LSFA, Ayodele said solar energy is very important for every home in the country due to the incessant power outage the nation has been witnessing in recent times.

“DIAFA as an environmentalist and public health practitioner is against environmental degradation and carbon emission which has killed many people through the use of generators and kerosene cooking stoves. This is the basis for the pet project, DIAFA Light Up Naija Initiative, which hopes to light up 1,000 homes with solar energy in the next 12 months.

Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, who is also the First Vice President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, commended DIAFA for the solar power initiative, adding the Lagos FA will be glad to partner with the organization to bring alternative power supply to Nigerians.
