Liverpool are monitoring Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton and could make a move for him during one of the next two transfer windows, according to TEAMtalk.
The 21-year-old is expected to leave Crystal Palace within that period, with Liverpool having followed his progress for some time. The Merseyside club focused on strengthening other areas of the squad during the summer transfer window, but Wharton remains under consideration.
Newcastle are also interested in the England midfielder.
Wharton has made four appearances for Crystal Palace in all competitions this season, but has yet to register a goal or assist.
Transfermarkt values the player at 70m euros.
