Liverpool Target Charlie Taylor Looks to Force Move Away From Leeds United

Published on: 06 August 2016

Charlie Taylor's move away from Leeds is looking more and more evident every day. The left-back has now decided to take matters into his own hands after both him and his agent missed a meeting with the club regarding his future in Leeds according to "?TV Yorkshire.

The left-back has already requested a transfer this summer, and stated he would not sign a contract extension, as his current deal is due to expire in summer next year. This means Leeds really have no option but to sell, or face losing him for free next summer.

The 22-year-old has a number of clubs chasing him, "?but most notably Liverpool, who have been impressed by Taylor's performances in the championship. Manchester United, Burnley, Stoke, West Ham and West Brom are also all said to be looking to bring him to the Premier League, so it is no surprise he wants to move on with all these top clubs chasing him.

However, Leeds owner Massimo Cellino stands firm on his stance that he will not be leaving Elland Road this summer, and would rather they let him go for free next summer. Leeds are perhaps pushing for promotion this season with new manager Garry Monk at the helm, who has previously conquered this league before.

Garry Monk has made many signings so far, including the impressing capture of Kemar Roofe from Oxford United. However, academy graduates and fan favourites Sam Byram and Lewis Cook have left the club opting for a move to the Premier League in recent times, but at this moment in time, who knows which club Charlie Taylor will be paying for come September 1st.
