Jules Kounde is among Liverpool’s transfer targets as the club considers strengthening at right-back next year.
However, the Reds could decide against signing a player for that position if Ronald Araujo maintains his strong form. According to Football Insider, the 27-year-old Uruguay international could therefore be the reason Liverpool end their interest in Kounde.
Araujo is currently playing for Liverpool on loan from Barcelona, with the agreement including an option to buy him permanently.
Kounde’s value is estimated at 55m euros by Transfermarkt.
