Mauricio Pochettino, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, maintained on Thursday that Kylian Mbappe is "relaxed" and unconcerned about his future.
Mbappe, 22, has a year left on his Paris deal and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, with rumours growing since Lionel Messi arrived in the French capital.
"Kylian is comfortable, he is our player, and I don't see him playing anywhere else this season," Pochettino said ahead of PSG's Ligue 1 match against Brest on Friday. Pochettino stated of the transfer window, "This phase is part of football."
"A lot of things are stated, and I've seen firsthand how certain things happen and others don't. "Kylian is ready for the game tomorrow." Kylian and I exclusively talk about football while we're together. If he does not renew his contract, it will expire after a year. We like him, and from what I can tell, he likes us as well."
