Purchased by AS Monaco, from Olympique Lyonnais, three years ago, on an impressive 20 million euros move, French winger and forward Willem Geubbels, a former gem into Les Gones youth ranks, hasn't so far matched the expectations set upon him at all. To this end, his current parent club management are considering letting him out on a loan spell, since their investment, to date, would be hard to recover from.

To this end, the 2001-born, turning 20 on August 16, has been targeted by two Belgian clubs, namely Anderlecht and Royal Antwerp, as well as by Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, according to L'Equipe. Besides, Geubbels, currently on a deal with AS Monaco until June 2023, has already been approached by Saint-fellow Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne, interested in a loan spell, and turned down upon their attempt.
