Peter Bosz has won his first Ligue 1 win as coach of Olympique Lyon. On Friday evening FC Nantes won 0-1. President Jean-Michel Aulas indicated after the game that the victory could ensure that Bosz has brought a 'great asset' to Lyon.
Bosz's start at Lyon was anything but flawless. The first game against Stade Brest ended in a 1-1 draw, a week later Angers lost 3-0, while the second home game with PhD student Clermont Foot ended in a draw (3-3). That changed on Friday with the 0-1 victory over Nantes.
"I have seen some good things," Bosz told the Lyon club channel after the game. "We could have scored more, but in the end the three points are the most important."
With the win, Bosz may have ensured that he can soon welcome a 'great asset' to Lyon. "Nothing has been finalized yet, but one more player is going to leave. And we are working on one big acquisition," says president Aulas. "We don't have much time left, but the fact that we won tonight could accelerate the transfer."
