When Barcelona takes on Bayern Munich in their first UEFA Champions League game of the season next week, they will be facing their toughest test of the post-Lionel Messi era.

Manager Ronald Koeman is dealing with a slew of additional injuries coming into the game. According to AS, attacker Martin Braithwaite is almost certain to miss the match owing to a knee problem.

Braithwaite is now Barcelona's equal highest scorer for the new season, with two goals in three games — a number shared by new acquisition Memphis Depay and Sergi Roberto, one of the team captains

Prior to the international break, Braithwaite noticed some soreness in his knee during Barca's last match against Getafe. During the break, he did not go with the Danish national team and instead stayed at the club to rest and recover.

However, it appears that the former Leganes striker's injury is more serious than initially thought.
