According to De Telegraaf, Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman claimed that Luuk de Jong is "more dangerous" than Neymar when a cross is involved.

Barcelona signed De Jong on deadline day, claiming that the club will cover the striker's salary during his loan term from Sevilla, with the possibility of making the transfer permanent.

Due to his playing style, De Jong is a surprising signing for the Blaugrana. The guy Koeman summoned to the Dutch national team is a target-man, as opposed to the Catalan club's regular centre-forwards.

In a fair but odd comment, Koeman has now backed up the signing by claiming that the 31-year-old is "more dangerous" than PSG sensation Neymar when crosses are involved.

De Jong, at 6ft2, has always been a more dangerous aerial threat than someone like Neymar, but Koeman may have put too much pressure on the ace with this remark.
