FC Barcelona no longer wants to see players go for free. After the departure of Lionel Messi for Paris Saint-Germain, out of the question for the Blaugranas to repeat this error. According to Mundo Deportivo, the club are therefore already working on two important extra times, those of Pedri and Ansu Fati.

The two 18-year-olds have a contract until 2022, with an optional two-year extension which can be exercised by Barca. Despite this, Barcelona want them to sign a new lease, including a bigger salary.

On the other hand, regarding Fati, there is a divergence between the leaders of Barcelona and his agent Jorge Mendes concerning this famous option for two more years. Indeed, Mundo Deportivo indicates that the player's representatives believe that it is not valid because their colt was not of legal age when it was signed. In that case, Fati could be free next June and Barca could lose their number 10 for free again.
