Liberia and Gambia meet at Stade Leopold Sedar Senghor in Dakar on Thursday, 17 September 2026, with kick-off at 19:00 GMT. The semi-final will decide one finalist in the UFOA-A U17 qualifying tournament and secure a place at the CAN U17 2027 in Morocco for the winner.
The Young Lone Stars reached the last four without defeat in Group B. They drew with Mali before recording a 2-1 victory over Guinea, and will now attempt to take another step towards a historic qualification for the CAN U17.
Gambia’s Baby Scorpions finished second in Group A and go into the match after a 0-0 draw against Senegal. Their experience in youth competitions will give them confidence as they target a place in the tournament final.
The semi-final winner will qualify directly for the CAN U17 2027 in Morocco and will also advance to the final of the UFOA-A tournament.
