Nigeria Football Federation vice president, has stressed the need to give more support to the national women team, Super Falcons in their quest to regain their pride dented by the failure to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The Super Falcons are currently in camp training ahead of the African Women Cup of Nations qualifiers. Dikko who watched the team beat All Stars team 2-1 in a friendly game played at the FIFA Goal Project said: "I think they are coming up well. It looks as if they are really progressing. This means that the coaches are doing what they are suppose to do."

"If it were to be the Super Eagles playing you will see hundreds of people coming out to watch them. That's the area we need to work on. On the part of the NFF, we are always taking the Super Falcons very serious and we will continue to treat them specially."

Super Falcons captain Evelyn Nwabuoku said the team is doing well with their new coaches and the girls are looking forward to playing more competitive matches.
