Leeds United are considering their options as they're set to approach Aston Villa wantaway Joleon Lescott to add to Gary Monk's new look squad, report the "?Telegraph."?
The former English international has been told by new Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo that he has now place in his plans, as they attempt to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
The 33-year-old only joined from West Brom last summer, for £1.5m, to his boyhood club at Villa Park.
However, a year-on and Lescott plays no part in the first team plans despite losing fellow centre-back Ciaran Clark to Newcastle this week, in a £5.1m deal.
The former Manchester City defender had a nightmare season as captain as the Villians endured an abysmal season that saw them get relegated to the Championship.

Lescott had done nothing other than anger the fans of his boyhood club last season after 'accidentally' posting a tweet featuring a picture of his new sports car despite only just losing 6-0 to Liverpool.
With the defender left as an outcast, Leeds lie in wait despite already making eight new additions to Gary Monks new side as they attempt to fight their way back to the top flight.
Aston Villa have also been busy this transfer window after beating Norwich to the £12m signing of Scottish striker Ross McCormack; at the last minute on Thursday.
The Midlands side have also signed promising midfielder Aaron Tshibola from Reading for £5m, Tommy Elphick from Bournemouth and goalie Pierluigi Gollini this summer.
