Veteran coach, Kadiri Ikhana revealed that top bosses of Enyimba FC cannot stand him, hence the decision not to renew his contract.
Ikhana led the club to their seventh title with a record 70 points from 38 matches, and was hopeful of winning another CAF Champions League with Enyimba, but he may now be looking for another clubside.
"I expected that my contract will not be extended because some of my bosses didn't like my face," said Ikhana, who, in his first spell at the Aba club won a first-ever CAF Champions League in 2003.
It was gathered that Warri Wolves coach Paul Aigbogun and Bulgarian, Mitko Dobrev formerly of IfeanyiUbah are front runners for the top post.
Meanwhile former Giwa FC assistant coach Aminu Musa has been appointed as an assistant coach to the-yet-to-be named head coach at Enyimba.
Enyimba media officer Farriel Alaputa announced this: "@EnyimbaFC has appointed former head coach of Giwa FC, Aminu Musa as assistant coach. The 46-year-old would resume immediately."
