AS Douanes secured their place in the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 1-0 victory over Hafia FC in Conakry on Saturday.
The Mauritanian side settled the first-round preliminary tie with a second-half goal from Mouhsen Bodda, who struck in the 73rd minute at the Stade du 28-Septembre.
Neither team managed to score before half-time, but Bodda’s finish gave AS Douanes the decisive advantage and proved enough to send the Gabelous through.
The result completed a 3-2 aggregate victory for AS Douanes after the sides drew 2-2 in the first leg in Nouakchott.
AS Douanes will now continue their continental campaign in the next round of the competition, while Hafia FC’s CAF Confederation Cup run ends at the first preliminary-round stage.
