Lassine Sinayoko has made an immediate impression at Paris FC after joining from AJ Auxerre for about 8 million euros this summer, scoring four goals and providing an assist in his first five appearances.
The Mali international is also among the nominees for September’s Ligue 1 player of the month award. He is competing with Ferran Torres of Paris SG and Paris Brunner of AS Monaco, who have also scored four goals in five matches.
Sinayoko’s rapid start has been welcomed by former Mali and FC Nantes striker Tenema N’Diaye “Takisse” – a Bambara term meaning “the ember”. In an exclusive interview with Africafoot, N’Diaye praised his young compatriot’s performances and said he hoped the forward would continue to score regularly for Paris FC.
A quick rise in Ligue 1
Sinayoko completed his move from AJ Auxerre during the final days of the summer transfer window and quickly established himself as one of the division’s most effective forwards.
After five rounds of the 2025/26 Ligue 1 season, he is among the competition’s leading scorers. His progress has continued over recent seasons, with the 26-year-old now taking on a more prominent role at both club and international level.
Developed by AJ Auxerre, Sinayoko has made 104 Ligue 1 appearances during his career. He has scored 22 goals and supplied 17 assists in the competition.
He was also AJ Auxerre’s leading scorer in 2025/26, finding the net 12 times and recording four assists in 32 matches. His move to Paris FC has given him another opportunity to strengthen his standing among France’s leading attackers.
A key player for Mali
Sinayoko has remained an important figure for the Mali national team. At the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, he was Mali’s only goalscorer, producing three goals in five matches.
He also played a decisive role in Mali’s most recent 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Cape Verde. Although he did not score, Sinayoko provided the assist for one of Mali’s goals in their 3-1 victory on the final matchday of the qualifying campaign.
His form will now be tested when Paris FC face FC Lorient in their sixth Ligue 1 match of the season.
The match odds listed by 1xbet price a Paris FC victory at 2.48, with a draw at 3.51 and a win for FC Lorient at 3.04.
