Barcelona president Joan Laporta has commented on his club’s 7-0 victory over Real Madrid in the Spanish women’s league.
The match set a record attendance for the Spanish women’s championship, with 40,533 spectators watching the game.
Kick-off was delayed by two hours because of heavy rain. Laporta thanked the supporters for their backing and also acknowledged the performance of the opposing team.
Barcelona are top of the women’s league with 18 points. Madrid and Real have 13 points each.
