Former FIFA referee Sergey Lapochkin has criticised the decision involving Barcelona defender Joao Cancelo and Real Madrid winger Yan Diomande during the recent El Clasico at Camp Nou.
Lapochkin said the challenge, in which Cancelo stepped on Diomande’s foot, was unfair to the Madrid side.
Real Madrid won the match 2-1, securing victory in the latest meeting between the two Spanish giants.
As of today, Real Madrid sit third in the La Liga table with 24 points. Barcelona remain top of the standings.
