Lamine Yamal scored twice and provided an assist as Spain beat Croatia 4-1 in the Nations League, setting a new record for the national team.
The Barcelona winger opened the scoring after two minutes before setting up Marc Pubill in the 31st minute. Yamal then added his second goal in the 63rd minute.
According to journalist MisterChip, Yamal became the youngest player in Spain’s history to score at least two goals and provide at least one assist in a single international match, doing so at 19 years and 78 days old.
He surpassed the previous record held by Real Madrid legend Raul, who achieved the feat at 21 years and 273 days.
Yamal was substituted in the 68th minute. Spain scored once more before the final whistle, with Nico Williams completing the 4-1 victory.
