Lamine Yamal says a poor display from him is equivalent to “400 bad matches” from any other footballer.
The Spain and Barcelona attacking midfielder was assessing his own form after scoring in the recent international match against England.
Spain came from behind to beat England 3-2 at Wembley, with Yamal among the goalscorers as La Roja secured victory.
The 17-year-old is one of the leading contenders for this year’s Ballon d’Or. The award ceremony will take place in London on 26 October.
