As revealed by Sport247, Lagos State Chairman Technical Committee, Dotun Coker in a chat with Sports this morning said arrangements have been concluded to stage the much awaited Lagos FA Cup finals at the Onikan Stadium.
“I can confirm to you that the Lagos FA Cup finals would hold on 30, July at the Onikan Stadium. We want to thank Lagos Governor, Babjide Sanwo-Olu through Lagos State Sports Commission for allowing us to use the refurbished Onikan Stadium for the finals.We are using this mediaum to tell the finalist to intensify their preparation ahead the FA Cup finals,” he said.
In the male category final, Ottasolo would face Dannaz boys, while FC Robo Queens battle Dannaz Ladies in female category.
Chairman Lagos State Football Association, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for granting the body to use Onikan Stadium for the FA Cup final. He however urged the football fans who are coming to witness the grandfinale to comport themselves and shun vices that can affect the image of the competition.
He said any fan found guilty during or after the final would be punished accordingly. He also congratulated the finalists for reaching the final stage and wished them best of luck in their outings.
