Lagos Derby Ends In A Goalless

Ikorodu United failed to take advantage of 10-man MFM FC as the first Lagos Derby in 18 years ended in a 0-0 draw.

Draw it might have been, but stalemate it was anything but. MFM FC, despite being the away side, attacked from the off, passing the ball with crisp confidence and finding multiple opportunities to test Ikorodu United goalkeeper Adamu Azeez.

Harrison Egbune did find a way to get around the MFM defence, but Balogun Kabir failed to take advantage.

Olatunbosun Sikiru and Musa Newman were constantly getting in behind the Ikorodu defence but getting no joy with their final balls. At the other end, Moses Ebiye was making life unbearable for Stanley Okorom and eventually got the defender sent off on a second yellow card seconds before halftime.
