Barcelona president Joan Laporta has presented Ronald Koeman with a set of targets to be met for the 2021/22 season and a potential new contract deal if he meets them all at the end of the current season.
The 58-year-old is in his third season at Barcelona after talking over the helm from Quique Setien following the club’s poor 2019/20 season.
Some of the requirements include a central role for academy graduate Riqui Puig, a 4-3-3 formation and sticking to the club’s possession-based philosophy of playing.
The Dutchman’s new contract deal will be subject to his performances in the next 10 months.
