German international Shkodran Mustafi and his entourage are reportedly in advanced talks with Levante over a potential move to the city where he first came into limelight, according to Radio Valencia Cadena Ser.
Levante are in pole position to get him after he was also linked to Torino over the summer window. The ex-Valencia defender was let go by Schalke 04 after the club got relegated to 2.Bundesliga last season.
The 29-year-old will sign a two-year contract deal with the Spanish club.
He spent three years at Valencia and is now close to joining their city rivals Levante.
