La Liga: Ejuke's Sevilla torn apart by Barcelona

Published on: 21 October 2024

Chidera Ejuke and Sevilla had a night to forget as the Eagles were pummeled in the La Liga matchday 10 encounter against Spanish giant Barcelona, falling to a 5-1 away loss, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

Two goals each from Barcelona’s top scorer in Robert Lewandowski and youngster Pablo Torre alongside one from Pedri secured a huge win on the night at the Estadi Olimpic ground for the Catalan giant, condemning Ejuke and his side to yet their biggest loss of the season.

With the team already down by three goals after the end of the first half, Pimenta made changes at the start of the second half in order to get something out of the game and Ejuke was among the first changes as Iheanacho struggles continues.

Iheanacho is yet to get a hold of a starting spot in the team, appearing as an unused substitutes most times with few cameo appearances.

With their three games unbeaten run coming to an end, Sevilla will be hoping to quickly dust themselves off the toothless performance ahead of the clash against another Catalan side in RCD Espanyol.
