Antoine Griezmann’s brace for France secured them a vital 2-0 victory over Finland in the World Cup qualifiers. Enroute, he became France’s joint-third all-time top scorer on level with 1984 European Championship winner Michel Platini.
In an interview with TF1 after the match in Lyon, he said: “It’s a great source of pride. I always try to bring the best, whether it’s goals, with my defensive or offensive work.”
Griezmann has 41 goals in 98 caps, five behind Oliver Giroud and ten behind record holder Thierry Henry.
