Kylian Mbappe returns to Real Madrid training before LaLiga comeback

Kylian Mbappe has returned to training with Real Madrid after recovering from a hyperextension of his left knee sustained while on international duty with France.

Real Madrid and Les Bleus had agreed that the striker should return to the Spanish capital for immediate treatment. However, his absence from the training pitches at Valdebebas prompted concern among some supporters.

Those concerns came amid rumours that Mbappe had been seen partying in Paris during his time away from the squad. Real Madrid played down the reports, saying the forward was following an agreed break designed to allow him to rest and prepare for a demanding period of fixtures.

The former PSG striker has now returned to full fitness and is expected to be available for Real Madrid’s LaLiga meeting with Villarreal on October 10th.

Mbappe has made an impressive start to the season, scoring eight goals in all competitions. Jose Mourinho will need the France international at his best, with Real Madrid facing five games before the end of October.
