Kylian Mbappe has attempted to reassure Real Madrid supporters after being criticised for being seen at a Paris nightclub with his girlfriend while recovering from injury.
Spanish journalists and Real Madrid fans on social media questioned whether the France forward should have been resting and focusing on his rehabilitation rather than going out.
Mbappe responded by publishing two videos showing him working on his fitness. In one, he is exercising on a treadmill, while the other shows him riding a bicycle.
The posts appeared to reassure supporters that Mbappe is continuing to work on his physical condition despite the criticism.
Earlier reports suggested Mbappe could miss Real Madrid’s match against Villarreal on 10 October, with Jose Mourinho reportedly unwilling to take any unnecessary risks over the player’s fitness.
