Striker Kwesi Appiah is buzzing with excitement ahead of his prospective debut for the Black Stars in Ghana.

The 24-year-old arrived on Wednesday evening as the team begins non-residential preparation towards the opening 2017 AFCON qualifier against Mauritius.

Appiah surprisingly made Ghana’s squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and justified his inclusion with his impressive displays in Equatorial Guinea.

The Crystal Palace player now has a chance to impress for the first time before the Ghanaian crowd in a competitive match on June 14.

Appiah Tweeted ahead of the trip to Ghana: “Honoured to get the opportunity to represent the Blackstars once again! Humbled!”

Appiah scored his debut goal for the Black Stars in the quarter final win over Guinea at the 2015 AFCON.
