Kwara United were winners against SGFC Athletic Sports Club on Saturday in the semi final of the Kwara State FA Cup at the KFA Pitch, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Afonja Warriors triumphed by three goals to two against the Nigeria Nationwide League, NNL side.
A mouh watering encounter saw the game end two all in the first half before the Harmony Boys were able to take the day.
Omaka Anthony had opened score for the NPFL side in the 10th minute, but Suleiman Ibrahim restored parity for SGFC 12 minutes later.
Samad Kadri restored United's lead in the 32nd minute from the penalty spot, but Anthony Jegede made sure the tie ended in equilibrium as he scored in the 38th minute.
Godwin Oshagbemi however scored in the 57th minute to restore the lead for the third time in the game through a header.
This time it was going to be the last as Kwara United held on to win the match and progress to the final of the state FA Cup.
