Asante Kotoko’s season took another twist as defender Abeiku Ainooson’s season came to a premature end.
Ainooson, was redrawn in Kotoko’s hard earned 2-1 victory at home against Bechem United last week.
The former New Edubiase man is suspected to have damaged a ligament and would require around 10 weeks to recover.
Ainooson has struggled to equal the hefty standards of last season where he was considered by far the best defender in the local scene.
His injury will come as another challenge to Kotoko who have had a season to forget so far.
The Champions are 8th on the league table but a distant 9 points behind first place AshantiGold football club
