Ex-Hearts of Oak management member Haruna Aziz Futah wants their arch rival Asante Kotoko to be stripped off their league title over claims of lodging 'cooked' financial statement to the Ghana FA for the 2013/14 season which paved the way for them to play in the league.
The prominent supporter of the club says he is ready to substantiate his claims against the champions by petitioning the Ghana FA to show that the Porcupine Warriors did not submit audited accounts for them to play in the league.
It is however unclear whether there is a GFA regulation that punishes clubs by way of point-deduction for submitting unaudited accounts.
Aziz Futah however remains adamant he will pursue the matter to have Kotoko stripped off its league title won last season.
“It is a foul play on the side of Asante Kotoko,” he said.
“I have checks that the account lodged by Kotoko the GFA is not properly audited.
“I am going to write to the GFA to bring this issue to the fore.
“If I am able to prove my claim then I would demand that Kotoko is stripped off the 2013/14 league trophy.”
Kotoko won last year's Premier League crown with a massive eight-point gap against second-placed Heart of Lions.
Do you think Hearts have a case? Do you think this is just jealousy by the Hearts over Kotoko's recent dominance? Do you think this deserves an action from the GFA? Make your views known in the box below:
